So like most other folks who didn't manage to get their asses to the con of all cons (again), I've resigned myself to a fate plastered with jealous and bitter rantings. Good pal REDDOTDIVA is there but ain't offering her biceps for muling service. Bah! Dragatomi has tons of custom offerings this year and though a certain Jason Limon caught my eye, I decided to go with whimsical cause it's a Wednesday :P

Jeremiah Ketner has gone all Zen-like with names like Golden, Lotus, Icy, Ivy blahblahblah. The only one with two words is Night Melody - that's the Trikky on the last row, beside Siren the Raffy.

Which ones do I like personally? LOTUS and SIREN, with pretty affordable $350 and $250 tags. Having faces peeking out of bodies kinda freaks me out :P

But if you want a conversation piece, go with HERCYNIA; if its darker aesthetics doesn't set tongues wagging, just send them into a coma with the $1700 tag. Can I say major opps? :P Lunabee delicately pointed out my booboo. Thanks Sarah! :) HERCYNIA is indeed not by Jeremiah Ketner. It's by 64 Colors. It's still 18" and $1700 though. I'll leave it in the collage because this ass didn't get this lazy from doing lots of work ;)

Dunny Series 2012 Ratio revealed

Aloha Mahakala!

The only Dunny that I would really want to get would be Anderew Bell's Mahakala but the ratio just went from 1/40 to 1/80. Depressing news on a Friday. For the completist, JonPaulKaiser's would be both a nightmare. Looks like it's time to hit the boards for some Dunny trading! Dropping 21st Jun.

Dunny Series 2012

You can be happy with small things too

Seen this last week thanks to a special sneak preview and I am still infatuated with Andrew Bell's obviously MISFORTUNE CAT inspired Dunny. Word is the 8" kitty will be coming out ;) Others that I'm really thrilled about: Junko Mizuno, Nakanari and Kronk. When's the Dunny party in Singapore!

Spreading the good word here. Right off the heels of GIRLS NIGHT OUT, DRAGATOMI would be host to the 25 man custom group show For the Love of Vinyl this Sat 12th Mar. The choice of poison is a 6.5" Symbiote from SYMBIOTE STUDIO, sponsor behind the event which sees a truly international cast. If you ain't familiar with who's from where, you can ogle at the list HERE. There's a couple of personal favourites like Lunabee and J*Ryu but don't let me influence your bias! :P I like this bit from the press release:

'doing what you love, the way you want to,and how ever you want to do it'

The platform comes with two accessories - a gun and a sword - and quite frankly, I cannot wait to see what they'll do with them, given such creative freedom to actualise their own vision. Secretly, I hoping someone will do a Deadpool custom but that's just me crapping. :P Curated by Denise Cortez ( yep, the Warm 'N Fuzzy person!), For the Love of Vinyl runs through to 2nd Apr.

Artist Line-up:
CHAUSKOSKIS, JEREMIAH KETNER, LUNABEE, WARM N FUZZY, KING QUAN, OLLA BOKU, LUNARTIK, PODGY PANDA, FRANK MYSTERIO, LOULOU & TUMMIE, PANDACREW, POCKETWOOKIE, JEFF LAMM, ART DENKA, SPANKY STOKES, BABYBTEC, KAT BRUNNEGRAFF, STEVE TALKOWSKI, FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT, J*RYU, PAUL SHIH, DOLLY OBLONG, ARWASSA, HELENA GARCIA and NOOSED KITTY
