Just barely hours after an entry about Rivet Gallery and HEAVY HEARTS [blogged], here's another release at their booth. Troy Stith's LIL LUCHA DENTADURA! Check out more pictures over at his Flickr.
Dragon*Con will be the springboard for his LIL LUCHA, which has been steampunked for the event, tranforming into DENTADURA! Each will be sold at USD$40. If you are nowhere near the event (like me T_T), he will be stocking them on his online store later this month!
More Dragon*Con news. (I don't think you need the link by now:P) This isn't exactly fresh but at least it's timely! What you are looking at are customs by Brian Colin but unlike the many others I've blogged about, it is a series of 18! Furthermore, Brian had decided to blindbox them! The thrill of opening! Which of his little terrors could be staring back as you peer in! The Dunnys are USD$30 each. At his table in the artist alley, you would find a limited run of Wizard of Oz inspired giclees going at USD$35 each or USD$90 for a set of 3! All available this Friday! [via]
Just a soft reminder blast to all. The exclusive advance release of Dunny Series 2009 takes place during Dragon*Con.
There is Duuny Series 5 give away. Details extracted from their website [direct link]
Every person who makes the maximum purchase of 5 Dunny Series 2009 figures at Dragon*Con 2009 will receive a free Series 5 figure. Randomly inserted in the Series 5 boxes are 18 Dragon*Con Purple Tickets, redeemable for a number of prizes – everything from a Dragon*Con 2008 exclusive purple Aubrey Scavengers figure to a Shag print (courtesy of Netherworld Haunted House) to who-knows-what! Prizes will need to be picked up prior to Monday, September 7 at 1PM at the Dragon*Con booth in Comics and Pop Artist Alley.
In addition, anyone who pulls a Dragon*Con purple ticket and redeems it for their prize before 1PM Monday is eligible for the Grand Prize drawing Monday at 1PM for a complete set of Dunny Series 5 figures. That’s right – you could win TWICE!!!
Don’t worry – you DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN (although we can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want to stay for the entire weekend!).
Dragon*Con starts this weekend Sept 4th - Sept 7th, and besides Kathie Olivas JACK AND LUCKY Plasma Edition [blogged], there are lots more vinyl goodies dropping during the event. More on those later; I shall not detract from the metallic awesomeness of Daniel Elson's HEAVY HEARTS. Yep. You're not reading this wrong. It's not vinyl. Using pewter alloy (92% tin, 7.75% antimony, and .25% copper), Daniel created only 10 pieces and I'm sure looking at the picture alone has already struck a chord somewhere. Rivet Gallery (Booth #3 of the Hyatt Grand Hall East-Comic and Pop Arts Alley) will be releasing them so you know where to go tomorrow! Read his blog to follow the production process. That's why it's worth every cent of your USD$125 that you are going to spend on it.
Side note: For those who are still unaware, the Metal Mini MAD*L [blogged] are go! Buy them here!
Dragon Con 2009 is getting a lot of love, not just with the DunnyFest [link] and now it seems more vinyl goodies are invading what was originally a sci-fi/fantasy workshop. Kathie Olivas has confirmed a drop of what is certainly a new piece of work! Jack and Lucky! This will look perfect besides my Masao! This exclusive Plasma Edition will only be a run of 20 @ $65! I will hate to get it from Ebay.
